These terms apply to your use of this website, which Banu Construction ("Banu," "we," "us") runs. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The information here is general
Our articles, service pages and guides explain façade work and New York City rules in general terms. They aren't legal, engineering, architectural, financial or tax advice, and they don't create a professional relationship between you and Banu.
Every building is different. Your QEWI, your architect or engineer, your expediter, your attorney and your accountant are the people who can tell you how the rules apply to your building and what it needs.
The deadline finder and data pages are guides
The FISP deadline finder and the NYC Façade Report are built from DOB's published rules and public NYC data, including NYC Planning's GeoSearch service and NYC Open Data. They're there to help you plan.
- They aren't official DOB determinations, and they aren't filings.
- Public data can be incomplete, out of date or matched to the wrong building.
- Rules and deadlines change.
Before you act on a date, a sub-cycle or a filing status shown on this site, confirm it with your QEWI and with DOB's own records.
Accuracy and availability
We review the regulatory content on this site and show the date it was last reviewed. Even so, we make no promise that everything here is complete, current or error-free, or that the site and its tools will always be available. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time.
A proposal or contract governs any work
Nothing on this website is an offer to do work, a proposal or a warranty. Any work Banu does for you is governed by a written proposal or contract signed by both of us. If anything on the site conflicts with that document, the document controls.
Submitting the assessment form doesn't create a contract. It's a request for us to get in touch with you.
What you send us
When you send us information or files through the site, you confirm that you have the right to share them with us. We use them as described in our privacy policy.
Our content
The text, drawings, graphics, logo and design of this site belong to Banu or to the people who licensed them to us. You're welcome to read, print and share pages for your own use or your building's use, such as sending an article to your board. Please don't copy, republish or sell our content, or present it as your own, without our written permission.
The Banu name and logo are ours. Don't use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your business.
Using the site properly
Please don't misuse the site. That includes trying to break or overload it, sending false or automated requests through the form, scraping it in bulk, or using it for anything unlawful.
Links to other websites
We link to other sites, including NYC agencies, NYC Open Data and the National Park Service. Those sites are outside our control, and we aren't responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. A link isn't an endorsement.
Limits on our liability
You use this website and its tools at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, Banu isn't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on its content or tools, or being unable to use it. That includes missed deadlines, penalties, and decisions made based on information here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, and nothing here changes the terms of any contract you sign with us.
New York law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If you keep using the site after that, the updated terms apply.
